Asha Narang has been the driving force behind the growth and expansion of the company. She has been actively involved in the business since 1972 and is one of the first women entrepreneurs in India's male-dominated steel industry. More than 40 years of experience in the industry has given her an incisive understanding of the operations of the company as well as great insight into the larger trends of the industry. She took over the reins of the company while her late husband and founder Satya Pal Narang was ailing. Asha Narang is a firm believer in collaborative leadership.
Group Chief Financial Officer
SUDIPTA has 30 years of experience in Finance and Accounts, Administration, Projects and ERP Systems implementations and all Corporate Support functions at progressively senior levels. He executed strategic market entry plans of two premier global companies, Tetra Pak and KPMG and helped set up and establish their India operations during 15 of the 30 working years. Sudipta’s rich working experience includes Senior Director Finance & Operations, Cognilytics Software & Consulting P L, Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, Career Launcher Ltd, Senior General Manager, Mawana Sugars Ltd [Siddharth Shriram Group] amongst others.
During his career, he has addressed challenges of changing skills & capabilities required by organizations to grow and succeed by rationalizing business lines, identifying growth opportunities and setting up an operations backbone to support rapid scaling up. Negotiated relationships and influenced senior management with requisite skills for consequence management and ability to don different roles with ease and flexibility. Effectively handled Investor Relations with market analysts and research companies. Has provided leadership and teamwork in organizations with a track record of challenging their senior executives with growth and profit responsibility.
Sudipta did his Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), Calcutta University from St. Xavier’s College, Calcutta and is professionally trained in Negotiation Skills Workshop(s) by Scotwork, Singapore & UK.
Sandeep Narang has worked for many years at the grassroots level with sustainable development and aiding the transformation of the crafts sector into viable enterprises. On his own, he has mentored and angel-invested in cutting-edge start-ups, design enterprises and retail ventures. He brings his deep understanding of sustainable development, new-age technology and best practices to take the group on to a new path of growth and diversification. He also has been instrumental in expanding the Bright Bar business to Pune and Chennai, simultaneously upgrading technology and quality to match the expectations of the global auto-component and auto companies setting up base in India. Sunny has been leading the Anglian sports strategy and building new collaborative models for football and Olympic sports athletes. His networks in media, academia, scientific and non-profit sector will help the group build new enterprises in education and training, which is his passion.
Investor Relations and Communications
Amrit is a multi-faceted individual with a diverse background in communications and mass media. In the past, he has worked with NDTV, one of India's leading news channels and as a columnist for Elle magazine. His most current position was as Communications Director for Varun Sardana, one of India's most innovative, young fashion labels. He was responsible for the communications, marketing and PR strategy, and under his direction the brand became one of the most visible in the country with extensive national and international recognition. Amrit has a Masters in English from the University of Delhi and a Masters in Mass Communication from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Amrit looks after the group's investments in Art and handles relations with our international investors.
Ritika Narang Tickoo
Vice-President Retail, Design & Crafts
Ritika Narang Tickoo has always been open to exciting and new responsibilities. She did her schooling from the Convent of Jesus and Mary, New Delhi and was the head girl of the school. Her passion and creative energies propelled her to pursue new creative avenues. After her post-graduation in marketing and communications, she joined Times Television where she worked on promoting the Femina and Filmfare award properties. Her exposure at Times Television gave her a thorough insight about the workings of media houses, marketing and television. She then went on to work in the family steel business which helped her to develop a strong business sense. In 1998, she started an exclusive design weaving studio for home furnishings called â€œThreads" . Then in 1999, she started her own design and craft store, Either Or, in Pune; combining her previous experiences and knowledge in media and business. In the past seventeen years Either Or has become one of the most iconic stores in Pune, working with over eighty designers, NGOs and craftspeople across India. Ritika will be mentoring the expansion of the group into Retail, Design, Crafts and Creative Events.
